IBI is an international economic development consulting firm whose main client is the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). IBI is dedicated to providing insightful analysis and practical, timely solutions to challenges facing governments and companies. Most recently, IBI was honored with the 2015 Small Business of the Year Award by USAID. IBI is dedicated to improving people's lives. Founded in 1996 by Dr. Lucie Phillips, IBI is a woman-owned small business headquartered in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia. IBI provides insightful analysis and practical, timely solutions to challenges facing governments, civil society organizations, and companies. Our experience has shown that the value of fresh ideas lies in their local implementation. In each assignment we look for ways to address challenges in a comprehensive way, and partner with local firms and individuals to ensure sustainable results.
