USAID Funding: How to Enter and Grow in the USAID Market

Wednesday, October 6, 2021 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (EDT)

Description

SBAIC is proud to host Mr. Mike Shanley, CEO of AidKonekt Data, who will introduce and discuss best practices for starting and growing your organization’s work with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), focused on subcontracting strategies. USAID distributes more than $20 billion annually in funding to organizations and partners like yours each year! Mr. Shanley will share USAID partnering best practices drawn from more than fifteen years of experience working with USAID partners of all sizes, from large primes implementers to subcontractors and local partners. We encourage you to join us to learn how to build and efficiently run your USAID partnering strategy. This training event will discuss:

1. How to learn about and plan for USAID funding opportunities;

2. The USAID subcontracting process; and

3. Practical tools that you can take back to your organization to build and grow your USAID subcontracting and prime portfolios.

Mr. Mike Shanley, CEO of Konektid International (www.konektid.com), has 15 years of direct USAID market experience, including at Chemonics International, USAID's largest implementing partner. In 2013, he founded Konektid International to support new partners to enter the USAID market. He is now the CEO of AidKonekt Data, a software that streamlines USAID business development processes. Mr. Shanley works directly with clients and leads seminars on USAID partnering best practices and trends.

Through Mr. Shanley’s leadership, Konektid has worked with foreign aid organizations of all types and sizes including both established and new USAID partners. Konektid's clients have ranged from the Fortune 500 and Ivy League, to local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and US small businesses. In each case, Konektid has helped to design and implement their client’s USAID partnering strategies. Konektid has supported new and underutilized partners to assess their fit for the USAID market; build their clients’ capacity to find their first Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract, write their first USAID proposal, and win the largest USAID procurement in their client’s history. Likewise, Konektid has partnered with the top foreign aid associations, including USAID, Devex, Society for International Development (DC), British Expertise International, Johns Hopkins University, Bond UK, Dochas, AidEx, Impact Hub Geneva, and the Posner Center for International Development.

We look forward to seeing you at this virtual event!
